About Margarita

Margarita Leon is the creative designer behind Gypsy Goddess Creations. Her passion for Theatre, Film, and Costume Design started many years ago when she was a child. She always loved acting and creating characters. Margarita founded the Spanish Theatre Company in Melbourne and afterward produced her first feature film, The Silence of the Objects. After the film, she was motivated to create her first solo project, The Widow of Humanity.

Margarita loved theatre and filmmaking with all her heart- it is her first passion in life. But it was a big undertaking so she decided to focus on more self-sufficient projects. She gave more energy to creating characters and performing in festivals where she could fulfil her passion for theatre. She created headpieces to dress herself and the reaction of audiences was palpable, to the point where a friend asked her to create a headpiece for her wedding day. From there, Margarita kept creating headpieces until a culmination of work, in the form of a solo exhibition- Goddess Rising- in Fremantle, Western Australia.

Since then, she continue to evolve her business, creating and developing her own characters as well as custom pieces for clients.

Her commitment, passion, and dedication to the arts has brought her to where she is today.
